Speaking in an interview for TNT Sports' 20 Questions series, the former Reds captain opened up about various aspects of his playing career, including "a football moment that still haunts you". Gerrard's playing career was full of extraordinary highs, including the 2005 Champions League win in Istanbul, but his inability to guide Liverpool to a Premier League title during his career means that the disappointing 2013-14 season still weighs heavily on his head over a decade later, and somewhat defines his legacy.

The bonds forged during that historic title race still mean a lot to Gerrard; in the same interview, asked which two players he'd sit beside in his dream dressing room, one of his picks was Luis Suarez. After all, the partnership between the pair was electric, with Gerrard and Suarez providing Liverpool with 100 goals and 52 assists during their four years together.

Gerrard was sacked by Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq in January after an underwhelming 18-month spell at the helm. His disappointing Saudi adventure came after a tricky time at Aston Villa, leaving the former Liverpool captain's future managerial career in some doubt. He may have to follow in Frank Lampard's footsteps and drop back down to the EFL in order to rebuild his reputation as a coach.
